Annaru has always reminded me of home — of Maama peeling annaaru for us when we were little, so we could sit back and enjoy every piece without any hassle. And now, all these years later, my mum does the same for me.
I’ve always loved those little moments of sitting beside them while they peel, listening to our little conversations and enjoying the fruit together. There’s something so simple and comforting about it — the kind of memory you don’t realise you’ll treasure until you grow older.
